Butterfly House Exhibit

Do you love being surrounded by the gentle flutter of colorful wings? During the summer between June - September Tenafly Nature Center invites people of all ages to discover the colorful world of these native pollinators.

About Tenafly Nature Center's Butterfly House

Since 2019 TNC has operated a seasonal outdoor butterfly house for visitors of the preserve to enjoy. Guests can walk among the dozens of free-flying adult native butterflies and learn about their lifecycles, adaptations, and fun facts that make them truly special organisms.

All the butterflies contained within the seasonal exhibit are native species as are the plants that support them. 

The annual cost for care and maintenance of this fun and educational exhibit is over $6,000 and TNC needs YOUR support to ensure this exhibit can continue.
