Bird ID Trail – Now Open

Tenafly Nature Center is excited to welcome you to our newest exhibit, located within the TNC forest.

To start your adventure
1. Check in at the Visitors’ Center
2. Visit the bird feeders to find out which trail the rest of the birds are located

Along this special trail you will find hidden metal bird silhouettes!

Enjoy a gradual pace down the path as you search for each of the 11 artistic avian elements that represent nine native species that can be found throughout our forest.

As you walk along the path, look carefully and you will see signs located near each bird to help you find it. Scan the QR code on the sign with your phone to learn more about the species hidden at that location. Informational sheets contain links to the Cornell Lab of Ornithology webpage database of sounds for each species along the trail.

How many birds you can find?
See if you can spot the real ones as you continue your journey along our trails.
