Sponsor a Species

Tenafly Nature Center cares for over 30 resident animals unable to be released into the wild. These animal ambassadors assist our naturalists in educating thousands about biodiversity and habitat protection.

Caring for them requires significant resources. Your donation helps provide food, shelter, medical care, and improves enclosures, while supporting the staff who care for them.

Abandoning rescued or unwanted pets at Tenafly Nature Center harms both the animals and local wildlife. Please contact an appropriate rescue group for assistance in rehoming animals.

Yes. Please indicate your preference when you submit your sponsorship.
Often not. Animal sponsorship’s are symbolic, and the funds are earmarked for animal care.
No. Each of our animals already have a name.
Sponsorship packets are usually mailed within 10-14 business days, but at peak times it may be longer. If you require quicker service please let us know and we’ll do our best to accommodate.
