School closed for the day/week and kids looking for something to do? Join our educators for TNC’s Nature Day Camp. Our school break day camps allow your child to use all of their senses to explore the wonders of the natural world while they learn about forest and pond ecosystems. Your child’s experience is enhanced with hands-on experiences, visits with live animals, games, crafts, and much more.
Summer Nature Day Camp
Children who like nature love camp at the Tenafly Nature Center. It’s hands-on outdoor learning and fun! Our weekly summer program allows your child to use all of their senses to explore the wonders of the natural world while they learn about forest and pond ecosystems. Your child’s experience is enhanced with hands-on experiences, visits with live animals, games, crafts, and much more.
Counselors-in-Training
Students aged 14-18 can volunteer as a counselor-in-training (CIT) and assist TNC’s professional education staff with Nature Day Camp. Help prepare, lead and clean up camp crafts and activities. Must love working with the little ones! Gain valuable leadership experience; it looks great on a resume!
Nature Center Individual Scholarships
Tenafly Nature Center does not want to turn any child away from making a connection with nature and strives to give all children access to time spent in nature, regardless of their ethnic, social or economic backgrounds. Therefore scholarships are made possible each year through grants and the generous donations of individuals and organizations.
