Visitor Center Activity Center Furniture $500-$2,000

Help update TNC’s visitors center with new furniture that meets the needs of today.

What is needed: Jonti-Craft 20 Cubbie-Tray Triple Fold-n-Lock Storage with Clear Bins, Wooden Kids Reading Nook, and Science Activity Table

iPads for Education
$1,000

Help improve TNC’s program check in process for camps and public programs and provide technology resources that will improve programming.

What is needed: 2 Apple iPad minis and 2 Otterbox Defender Series Cases for the associated iPad 

Handwashing Stations
$3000

Help students keep hygienic when they visit TNC for field trips and camps. Portable handwashing stations are needed so that lunch time at TNC is not germ time.

What is needed: 2 outdoor sinks

Classroom Furniture
$3500

Help TNC obtain some needed furniture to update our program space and to provide necessary elements for  Help us replace the furniture that has been well used (but no longer functions) and get furniture that meets the needs of todays TNC.

EnviroScape Watershed-Stormwater Model

Penny Press Machine

Help TNC obtain a fun way for visitors to take home a inexpensive keepsake (and help generate income for our small non-profit) when visiting TNC (while still leaving no trace).

Updated Ambassador Enclosures

Help TNC professionally update their animal ambassador habitats in the visitors center.

What is needed: 25 specially designed Zen habitats 

StoryWalk® Fixtures
$7,000

Help TNC make its StoryWalk® trail environmentally friendly. The StoryWalk® trail is a visitor favorite however the current method is not ideal.  These professional fixtures will make it so TNC does not have to waste materials and staff time.

What is needed: 26 Angled Wood Post Mounts and posts

Education Awning
$8,000

Help TNC install an awning that will provide shade and protect visitors and students from inclement weather. 

What is needed: a retractable awning

Pavilion Path Lighting
$8,000

Help TNC replace and upgrade the current lighting fixtures (bollards) which are prone to vandalism, waste energy, break easily, and require constant maintenance with LED bollards that are vandal resistant.

What is needed: 8 updated bollards

ADA 8′ Recyclable Plastic Picnic Tables
$30,000

Help TNC ensure that all visitors have a place to sit and enjoy a lunch at TNC (no matter their ability). With over 50,000 visitors a year we need more seats and tables.

What is needed: 20 new accessible tables to be spread throughout our pavilions and picnic areas.

Accessible Trail Master Plan Funding
$70,000

Help TNC secure funding to develop the master plan for this very important project.

The goal of the Accessible Trail Project is to redevelop the yellow trail (an existing trail) to provide access to visitors of all ages and abilities, creating an inviting, useful, and memorable destination. Access to and spending time in nature improves overall physical and mental health, establishing lasting connections to the natural world and its inhabitants. Therefore accessible trails like this, help connect people to nature, inspire healthy activities, help protect natural places and make communities more livable and connected.
