Tenafly Nature Center accepts registrations in the order they are received. TNC reserves the right to cancel, reschedule, or change programs as needed. All fees are per person unless otherwise stated.
I hereby accept and abide by the provisions of the following statement:
I, the undersigned, hereby give permission for my child to participate in all camp activities (except as noted by me and/or an examining physician) and assume all risks and hazards incidental to the program. I also understand and agree to abide by any restrictions placed on my child’s participation in camp activities. I also hold harmless Tenafly Nature Center, its personnel, appointed assistants, trustees and the Borough of Tenafly.
I will submit a current completed health history, emergency contacts, and other important safety data. I understand that if this is not done 7 days prior to the start of the camp session it will result in a forfeiture of my registration fee and that my child will not be able to attend. This health history and any attached forms will be correct and complete as far as I know, and accurately reflect the health status of the child named in the registration.
I understand the information on all Tenafly Nature Center Nature Day Camp forms will be shared on a “need to know” basis with camp staff. I give permission to photocopy these forms. In addition, the camp has permission to obtain a copy of my child’s health record from providers who treat my child and these providers may talk with the programs staff about my child’s health status. I agree to the release of any records necessary for insurance purposes.
I understand that it is the policy of Tenafly Nature Center and its personnel not to stock any medication and not to physically administer any medication to participants.
I hereby give permission to Tenafly Nature Center staff to provide routine health care and seek emergency medical treatment including ordering x-rays or routine tests. I give permission to the staff to arrange necessary related transportation for my child. If I cannot be reached in an emergency, I give my permission to the physician selected by the Tenafly Nature Center staff to hospitalize, secure and administer proper treatment, and order injection, anesthesia, or surgery for the child named in the registration.
I understand that Tenafly Nature Center reserves the right to remove any child without refund due to unacceptable behavior or if children are registered for the incorrect age level without written permission from the Camp Director.
Memberships are non-refundable, as they are considered tax-deductible donations with year-round benefits.
We encourage participants to consider converting refunds into a donation to help support TNC’s mission of nature education and conservation.
All CAMPDOC forms must be submitted at least 7 days prior to the first day of camp. Failure to do so may result in forfeiture of your registration.
School Break Camp (September-May)
Rescheduling
Rescheduling to another camp day may be available based on availability and at the discretion of the Camp Director.
Cancellations & Fees
- All refunds are subject to a $50 processing fee.
- No refunds will be issued once the camp has begun.
- Refunds (minus the $50 processing fee) are issued based on cancellation notice:
- 30+ days’ notice: 100% refund
- 15–30 days’ notice: 50% refund
- Less than 14 days’ notice: No refund
- In this case, the program fee may be issued as a charitable donation receipt.
- Cancellation notice must be given in business days prior to the first day of camp.
- Business days are Monday–Friday; weekends and holidays are not included.
- If TNC cancels a day or dismisses a program early, due to weather or other emergencies, a partial refund may be issued.
Program & Reservations Changes by TNC
TNC reserves the right to cancel, reschedule, or modify programs as needed.
Facility Use
A fee to cover the costs of replacement may be charged for damages to property or facilities caused during camp. You will be notified by phone if an invoice is created.
Other Policies
- TNC reserves the right to cancel a registration without refund due to inappropriate behavior or if a participant is registered outside the appropriate age or grade range.
- Refund policies vary for Summer Camp, Scouts, Seasonal Programs, Gifted & Talented, Homeschool, Professional Development, Field Trips & TNC to Go Programs, Birthday Parties, Facility Rentals, and Special Events. Please refer to those program pages for specific details.

Summer Camp (June-Labor Day)
Rescheduling
Rescheduling to another camp week may be available based on availability and at the discretion of the Camp Director. After June 1, a $20 rescheduling fee will be applied.
Cancellations & Fees
- All refunds are subject to a $50 processing fee.
- No refunds will be issued once the camp has begun.
- Refunds (minus the $50 processing fee) are issued based on cancellation notice:
- 6+ weeks’ notice: 100% refund
- 4–6 weeks’ notice: 50% refund
- Less than 4 weeks’ notice: No refund
- In this case, the program fee may be issued as a charitable donation receipt.

I understand that should I grant Tenafly Nature Center Association (TNCA) permission to use my child’s likeness in photograph(s)/video in any and all of its publications and in any and all other media, whether now known or hereafter existing, controlled by TNCA, in perpetuity, and for other use by TNCA. I will make no monetary or other claim (whether for breach of privacy or otherwise) against TNCA for the use of the photograph(s)/video for educational or marketing purposes.
