Corporate groups with 10 or fewer participants are welcome to join TNC’s volunteer Forest Defenders program, scheduled each month on the 2nd and 4th Sundays from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm (see below for upcoming dates), and help with forest stewardship projects.

The programs provided by TNC have a tremendous impact on those we serve. Children and adults of all ages learn important scientific principles in ecology and biology through exploration, experiments, investigation, interactive games, and open discovery.

Completed the construction of a brand new aviary, which enabled us to rescue three additional permanently injured birds of prey.
Maintained the over 7 miles of trails and kept our ~400 acre preserve open for you, and 20,000 additional visitors, enjoyment and healthy hiking.

Help maintain the preserve by removing invasive plant species and other harmful elements to our environment. For the forest to be health these invaders must be removed. | Take part in an annual walk of the property to assure that the nature center and its borders are being maintained, and are free of encroachments and litter. | Help our education team with this fun program that encourages participants to learn about camouflage. Hide naturally dyed eggs and oversee the sessions. |

Take part in a community trash cleanup day for all local green spaces throughout the borough.
