School Reading Program Fundraiser
Help show animal ambassadors some love! Team up with Tenafly Nature Center to sponsor some of our animal ambassadors by making a pledge to encourage reading.
Our team will work with your school to create an ideal and encouraging reading program based on minutes pages read per student within a set time period.
There are two ways to make a pledge

Sponsor a student for a flat amount (ex. pledge a flat donation of $20, no matter how much the student reads you will donate $20 in that students name).

Pledge an amount for every page read (ex. you sponsor a student for $.05 cents per page and that student reads 500 pages over the span of the reading program you would owe $0.05 x 500 = $25 or at $.01 cent a page, you would owe $.01 x 500 = $5).
Either way limits may be put on any donation, just indicate that on the student’s pledge form.
TNC does not maintain a zoo, however we do care for a small collection of permanently injured animals that cannot be released into the wild. These animals help to educate thousands visitors about the needs of biodiversity and the importance of protecting habitats. TNC’s animal ambassadors are native or related to local species found throughout New Jersey. Many of the species are endangered, threatened, or considered a species of special concern. *The money raised during reading programs will be used to provide food, shelter, medical care, and a nurturing environment for TNC’s beloved animal ambassadors.
