As a member-supported, nonprofit organization, Tenafly Nature Center relies on memberships to fulfill its mission. We receive no state or county funding, and corporate support plays a vital role in protecting our forests, delivering environmental education, and keeping our preserve open to the community.

Important Notes About Memberships
- Submitting a membership form again will create a new membership, not update your existing one
- If a duplicate membership is created, TNC staff will assist in resolving it

TNC memberships give you access to exclusive benefits and help support our mission.
Joining a Membership
To become a member, simply click the button at the top of the page and complete the membership form. You may be directed to a secure page to finish the process, this is normal.
When joining, you will:
- Select your membership level
- Choose whether to renew automatically each year
- Enter your contact information
- (Optional) Add comments
- Complete a security check if prompted
- Enter your payment information:
- Credit or debit card
- Bank account (if available)
- Apple Pay or Google Pay (on supported devices)
Then click “Start Membership” to complete your registration.
After signing up:
- You’ll see a confirmation message on screen
- You’ll receive a confirmation email, which also serves as your receipt

Please note: The following membership changes cannot be made online, including:
- Updating payment methods
- Upgrading or downgrading membership levels
- Canceling or ending a membership

Membership Emails
After joining or renewing your membership, you may receive the following emails:
- Confirmation Email (Receipt): Sent after you join or make a payment. This serves as your official receipt.
- Automatic Renewal Receipt: If you are enrolled in annual auto-renewal, you will receive a receipt each time your membership renews.
- Acknowledgement Emails: You may also receive follow-up messages or acknowledgements from TNC related to your membership.
If you do not see these emails in your inbox, please check your spam or junk folder, as they may occasionally be filtered there.
To ensure you receive future emails, we recommend adding our email addresses to your contacts or safe sender list.
