Honoring Our Past; Nurturing Our Future
On March 10th, Tenafly Nature Center supporters gathered for a fundraising experience at TNC’s Legacy Brunch. Held at Brasserie Memere in Closter, TNC honored 27 Life Members who have provided crucial funding for the organization’s long-term maintenance and growth.
Life memberships are one-time gifts to TNC’s endowment. All donors to the endowment have one thing in common; they want to ensure the nature center and its mission are here to serve future generations. This feels particularly meaningful as we consider the organization’s history over the last 60+ years, and look at the impact and legacy the nature center will have in the decades to come.
Executive Director, Debora Davidson, presented the honors, highlighting the importance of the honorees’ contributions, as well as an overview of preliminary plans for TNC’s newest initiative to redevelop the Yellow Trail as an accessible trail, broadening access to nature for all TNC visitors.

Among the attendees were members from TNC’s Board of Trustees, the Mayors of Tenafly and Alpine, the Tenafly Borough Council, local nonprofit leaders and business representatives, who contributed to the event’s fundraising success.
TNC is grateful to the event honorees, sponsors, advertisers, auction donors, and non-attending donors for their steadfast support.
